Dear Cyber-Followers:
As you may know, the Arizona Legislature has been in session for just under a month. Over 1,100 bills have been introduced to date. No bills have been passed, vetoed or signed.
Mulcahy Law Firm, P.C. is already closely monitoring eight bills that directly pertain to community associations. HB2382, pertaining to amendment of a declaration in a condominium or planned community, HB2106, giving a 30 day enforcement grace period to owners for violations regarding the condition of their property and SB 1140, a revised “chicken bill” from years past are the most problematic at this point in my opinion. None of the problematic bills are moving quickly (which is a good thing).
Every week during the legislative session, Mulcahy Law Firm P.C. will provide a summary of proposed bills impacting community associations. You will be able to view the current summary by clicking the link below or by going to the firm’s website, click on the ‘Publication’ tab and scroll to Legislative Updates. You will find “2016 Legislative Updates” with the current date. We will also be blogging on any interesting legislative developments each week.
Stay tuned; we’ll keep you up to date of any major developments (positive or negative) with the Arizona legislature!
